Samsung U600 – Yet Another Slim Slider..

Seems like the different mobile manufacturers have found out their unique selling proposition in the market. So if Sony Ericsson made a mark with its Walkman series, Samsung played it to the numero Uno with its sensational slim sliders. And the latest to create the magic was Samsung U600. The handset is loaded with a stupendous features, yet presented in the most slim and compact manner. This smart looking Samsung U600 measures only 11mm thick.

One of the most surprising feature of Samsung U600 Red is that despite being so compact, the handset comes with a large screen. The screen measures 34mm wide by 45mm tall and is quite friendly to offer good readability – even under direct sunlight. This also ensures that viewing of pictures, texts and graphics are made eye-candy.

At the rear of Samsung U600 is a wisely hid 3.2 MP camera. This location not only extends protection to the camera but also ensures that the outer fascia of the handset looks more refined and clean. The camera comes with LED photo light and auto focus, though the handset comes sans xenon flash. Talking about camera capability, the handset comes with a special feature called Namecard Recognition Service. In this, the camera can take photos of business card and store it for future reference. This feature is really helpful for the social bugs and busy professionals.

As far as music is concerned, the Samsung U600 scores pretty decently. The handset includes a good music player that is compatible with almost all kinds of popular formats: MP3, AAC files and protected Windows Media files. For more fun and laughter, the Samsung U600 also provides number of editing options like one can also set music to shuffle or repeat, rate individual tracks, create playlists and adjust the equaliser.

The slider mechanism of the handset is par excellence. The spring-loaded slide mechanism is smooth and pops opens with a slight casual push.
